Making new friends

A HomeShare is a smaller and more intimate group for older people/kaumātua held in a HomeShare hosts home.

HomeShare hosts invite a small group of like-minded members to their home to enjoy a meal, activities and socialising.

HomeShare assistants support hosts by helping to serve meals and refreshments, getting involved in activities and having fun with the members.

It is a great day out for everyone involved!

How you can help

  • Prepare and serve meals, clearing away dishes when finished
  • Setting up and clearing away activities
  • Supporting and encouraging our members as they participate in the programme
  • Becoming a host and inviting members to your home

Time commitment

Depending on where you wish to volunteer, the time commitment can vary but could be one full day per fortnight. Contact us for more information.
