Enrich a young persons life

Mentoring is about engaging in a one-to-one intentional relationship with a young person.

A mentor can inspire and enable a young person to build social connections, life skills, have fun and a positive view of the future.

It’s as easy as a walk in the park, throwing a ball around, or making muffins. Together, you can decide on the activities you want to enjoy.

Mentoring will challenge you but it also enrich your life, and the life of a young person, beyond measure.

We will provide you with training and ongoing support.

How you can help

  • Enjoy a variety of activities together
  • Listen to, and support, your buddy
  • Commit to a regular schedule of visits
  • Share stories, laugh and have fun!

Time commitment

We offer the mentor programme in Canterbury and Marlborough. It would be great if you could commit approximately 1 to 3 hours per week to spend time with a young person. Contact us for more information.
