Caring and connecting

Do you like making friends and having a good chat over a cuppa?

By committing to visit an older person/kaumātua regularly in the North Canterbury area, you will help to reduce their social isolation and loneliness.

Together you can choose how you wish to spend your time. You could go shopping, have lunch in local cafe, take a walk, visit the park, the options are endless.

Can you spare some time each week in North Canterbury to make one of our members feel special?

How you can help

  • Enjoy a variety of activities together
  • Encourage your new "friend" to keep active
  • Commit to a regular visit
  • Share stories, laugh and have fun!

Time commitment

We'd be grateful if you could commit one hour per week. Contact us for more information.
