Supporting older people

Enliven Tōtara Club provides older people with a safe, warm and friendly place to socialise. We put special emphasis on enhancing dignity and wellbeing.

Tōtara Club are day activity programmes for our members to maintain interests and skills, meet others, and share activities and experiences in the community.

Who benefits from Tōtara Club?

Older people (65+) who are living in their own home and who are becoming, or are at risk of becoming, socially isolated. Carers also benefit from having some time to themselves.

What we provide

  • A safe, relaxed, welcoming environment
  • Weekday programmes
  • Mental stimulation and social engagement
  • Professionally qualified staff
  • A support network of trained volunteers
  • Purpose-built, stand alone facilities
  • Transport to and from Tōtara Club venues when required
  • In most locations, lunch is provided

How much does Tōtara Club cost?

Most members are eligible for a subsidy. Ask your GP or contact us for more information. There may be a charge for a transport service or a fee for private-paying members.
