This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team at Presbyterian Support Upper South Island in Christchurch, Canterbury. This part-time position plays a key role in managing our payroll operations and ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

He kōrero mōu | About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5 years of experience as a senior payroll officer in a medium to large complex organisation
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations and best practices including the Holidays Act 2003 and further amendments, Employment Relations Act, Wages Act, Parental Leave Act, employment law, taxation legislation, and Employment Agreements.
  • Ideally proficient in using IMS payroll software, spreadsheet applications, and reconciliation experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
