URGENT: Changes to our service under Alert Level 2

Kia ora

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement that our Upper South Island region will shift to Alert Level 2 from 11.59pm tonight, some changes will have been made to our Presbyterian Support service delivery from Wednesday 8th September.

We know this news will be both exciting, and a bit nerve wracking, for many of us. Adjusting to a “new normal” takes time but if we remember to be patient and kind we will continue to get through this together.

Under Alert Level 2 there remains a requirement to maintain physical distancing, wear face coverings in public-facing areas, and continue contract tracing. With this in mind, effective from 8th September, our services will operate as follows until further notice;

Enliven

All Day programmes and Homeshares will remain closed until the next Alert Level review on Monday 13th September. In the meantime we will continue to support our members by;

  • Remote connection via regular phone calls, video chat and emails.
  • “Driveway chats/visits” may occur for those who are socially isolated.

Family Works & other services

Where possible we will continue to provide our client services remotely. Some individual face-to-face client appointments may be held on-site but these must be pre-arranged with our staff. Some small group sessions may also continue provided physical distancing can be maintained, please check with our staff directly for details.

Presbyterian Support sites

All of our sites will continue to maintain our strict health and safety protocols including regular cleaning and disinfecting of sites and vehicles.

A reminder for those who do need to visit our Centre’s please ensure you observe the ‘golden rules’;

  • Please stay home if you are unwell.
  • Please use the NZ COVID tracer app and scan the QR code, or ‘register your details’ with our receptionist, upon arrival.
  • Please maintain a 2m distance.
  • Please wear a face mask/covering.
  • Please cough or sneeze please into your elbow or by covering your mouth and nose with tissues.
  • When using tissues and paper towels please dispose of these immediately.
  • Please wash and dry your hands, or sanitise, regularly.
