  • Permanent fulltime position (40 hours Monday - Friday)

Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ke tēnei mahi (About the position)

This is a clinical role for a practitioner experienced at providing therapeutic support and strategies for Parents and Youth and Children facing complex challenges. This role will be based at Te Korowai and be an integral part of the Family Works Community Team. While this role is targeted to service and reduce a growing waitlist a flexibility and willingness to co facilitate groups or service other contract lines is essential should this be required.

  • Hold a relevant qualification and professional registration (Social Worker, Psychologist, Counsellor)
  • Have demonstrated experience working with a similar client base and an understanding of the range of opportunities and challenges influencing this cohort.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to develop relationships.
  • Have sound computer and administration skills.
  • Demonstrate empathy and resilience.
  • Be willing and competent to work safely with a diverse range of cultures including Māori and Pacifica 
  • Be available and eligible to work in NZ (NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or have a current work visa)
