This is an exciting and unique opportunity not to be missed! We have a full-time role available for an experienced and passionate Fundraising professional in our forward-thinking and people-focused not-for-profit organisation.

You will play a key role within our Business Development Team, implementing fundraising plans to help support our front-line team as they transform the lives of vulnerable children, young people, families, and older people throughout our community.

Your passion and experience in fundraising will ensure you effectively develop, manage, and grow our supporter base through stewardship, acquisition, and retention programmes, with a strong focus on Bequest and Regular Giving strategies.

As the public ‘face’ of our organisation you will be an excellent communicator who enjoys delivering powerful presentations showcasing our work, to engage the hearts and minds of our donor audience.

Your proven ability to identify and develop meaningful relationships will be essential to your success in this role.

Our ideal person will provide vital support to the Business Development Manager and the wider Business Development Team. We are looking for a special someone who can jump straight into this busy role with a positive “can do” attitude. 

You will…

  • Hold a relevant Tertiary qualification and 2-3 or experience within a fundraising (or similar) role, ideally managing donor relationships and or leading acquisition campaigns.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and build strong relationships.
  • Be an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Be someone who is self-motivated, and embraces change through realising opportunities, challenging the status quo where necessary and proactively looking for improvement while supporting others ideas.
  • Have experience working with conflicting priorities, with a high attention to detail and proven ability in time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • Be able to work flexibly including weekends and overnight travel as required.
  • Have sound computer skills ideally including familiarity with Office 365 (including Excel), PowerPoint, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey/Microsoft Forms, Raiser’s Edge database software (or similar CRM fundraising systems).
  • Have a high degree of professional integrity and honesty, able to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Maintain a full, clean drivers' licence.
