Receptionist and Administrator Support

Based in Rangiora, North Canterbury:

  • Permanent part-time position (16-20hrs pw)
  • Monday to Thursday, 9am - 1.30pm/2.30pm (some flexibility)
  • Based in Ngawi Thompson Centre, Presbyterian Support

Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ke tēnei mahi | About the position

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Provide manaakitanga, reception cover and support to the team in the North Canterbury Office for all administration requirements.
  • To be the welcoming face of the office and support all clients, whānau, and members of the public that walk through the door.
  • Provide efficient site and administration duties, employee support, and client care to adequately ensure the smooth day to day operations of the North Canterbury site services.

He kōrero mōu | About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 3-4 years’ experience in reception - administrative roles.
  • Experience with customer service and demonstrated ability to manaakitanga and communicate in a positive, confident, and professional manner in person, via written communication, and over the phone.
  • Have intermediate computer and office equipment skills including the use of email, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 applications, and databases.
  • Have demonstrated aptitude to learn new systems and databases quickly and adheres to confidentiality, privacy, and professional boundaries.
  • Be familiar with general office administration including the management of site resources and arranging work through suppliers and contractors.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to develop relationships.
  • Have an openness to and enjoyment of differences in values, beliefs, and cultural practices including gender identity, sexual orientation, and differing levels of ability.
  • Live and embody the PSUSI values in your mahi: Aroha, Whakawhanaungatanga, Tikanga, Kaitiakitanga and Kotahitanga.
  • Embrace PSUSI's cultural journey and be keen to use and upskill in Te Reo Māori.
  • Demonstrate empathy and resilience, initiative and self-motivation.
  • Be willing and excited to work with many cultures including Māori from any Iwi.
  • Have highly developed communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • Have a full clean drivers licence.
  • Pass a Police vet check.
